What made us try herbal medicine on animals?

We know what you're thinking. Herbal medicine on animals - what on earth made you give that a go? Well, let me answer that for you.

Years ago, when I was studying Chinese medicine, my wife Jodie and I were walking home from dinner one night when a beautiful Staffy came running across the street towards us. He was very scared and confused by all the traffic. We took him home to clean him up and find out who he belonged to. It turned out the poor guy was abandoned, so we decided to give him a home with us.

He was in pretty rough shape, so we took him to the vet to be checked over. The vet found that our rescue pup had a very painful hip and a highly inflamed skin condition. He suggested that we not take him in unless we were prepared for the worst, as his health condition would likely cause him issues for his whole life. But by then it was too late - we had already fallen in love with our sweet new Staffy friend. So rather than let him down, we took him into our family, and named him Oobi.

Unconvinced that Oobi's hip and skin condition couldn't be easily resolved, I used my Chinese medicine knowledge to develop the formula that we now call Skin Clear. It's based on an ancient formula called Shengmai San, which has traditionally been used by humans for dermatitis and eczema. So, I thought, why couldn't the same principle be applied to my new four-legged friend? Within two or three days of using Skin Clear, his skin condition had all but disappeared, and his hip pain too! The vet was amazed, and we were over the moon!

This was the first time we had used herbal medicine on animals.

But given its success, we decided to develop our idea further, and turn this little spark into something that could work for other animals.

So here we are - we now create and sell Herbal Creatures, using my knowledge of Chinese medicine.

Our little abandoned Staffy was the first of many successes stories, so now we would love for you and your pets to be a part of our journey.
